7 Couture Wedding Dress

As 2018 slips away from us we intend to spend the last few weeks of the year celebrating our favorite gowns & weddings of the year past while equally focusing on the fresh & newness to come in 2019. What embellishments will take over wedding dresses next year? Which silhouettes will flatter brides of new?

Kinsley James Couture Bridal, a dazzling Bay Area bridal salon curating from many of the world’s finest wedding dress designers, has spoiled us today with their predictions for wedding dress trends in the year to come. Certainly tastemakers themselves, the fashionable sisters-in-law team have us drooling over romantic floral lace & cheering in delight for the resurgence bows.

Read on for Dawn & Amber’s top picks and trend predictions from the likes of Berta, Marchesa & our beloved latest collection from Galia Lahav.

1. 3D Floral Lace

Texture and 3D lace have been on the rise for quite some time now, but more recently with florals! This 3D floral trend will surely add some drama to your Spring/Summer wedding and is perfect for that ethereal, romantic vibe. Designers Galia Lahav, Marchesa, and Reem Acra all showcase the 3D floral trend.

2. Corsets

Corsets are making an appearance everywhere, some more noticeable than others. Whether paired with a mermaid style gown or an a-line, it offers a unique, sexy, and feminine twist to your gown without showing too much skin!

3. Lace Necklines

High necklines with intricate lace details is definitely on the rise. Going hand in hand with the Victorian trend we saw last season, it has a certain feminine yet regal feel to it, and we’re diggin’ it! Designers Rita Vinieris, Reem Acra and Anne Barge emphasize the beautiful lace neckline.

4. Bows

Bows are sticking around! We saw the rise of bows last season, and it doesn’t look like this trend is on the downfall just yet. Whether it’s a huge bow in the back or just an accent bow around the waist, it adds a soft, feminine touch to your dress. Designers Marchesa, Galia Lahav, Reem Acra, and Limor Rosen all tie in bows in their gorgeous gowns!

5. Jumpsuits

Less traditional brides love the idea of walking down the aisle donning a jumpsuit, while some choose it as a fun outfit change for their second, or reception, dress. Jumpsuits are comfortable and chic; we love to see different options arise for brides who want something a little out of the box! Designers Rita Vinieris, Liancarlo, and Galia Lahav are all aboard the jumpsuit train!

6. Clean & Classic

The timeless clean and classic look is making a huge comeback this upcoming season. Taking it back to white gowns, traditional silhouettes, and leaving aside the added beading and elaborate applique. This is a style that allows the bride to own her gown, and that concept will never go out of style.

7. Capes

Initially, you might be hesitant of a cape on your wedding day, but if you think of it as a veil replacement, it might sound a little more acceptable. Capes are being seen all over the bridal world, and it sure does add the drama!
